L'Oreal Industrial

Well, the dance industrial for L'Oreal was great! Totally fun, great dancing, great people to work with, and a wild costumes. Obviously, the focus was on the girl's hair, which went through some crazy transformations onstage, but three of us men had Victorian-style white wigs (see picture below) and costumes. I love performing more than anything, so it was great to just be onstage killing it!

Now back to my real job of auditioning and finding my next job/project to work on. Fingers crossed...

Fall/Summer (but really on the fall) Update

Wow, bunches of stuff to talk about since I see that my last posting was in August or something. Almost too much to actually coherently get through...I think I mean concisely, but we'll just let that slide.

Starting of the summer (spring, really) I was dancing in a concert for Labyrinth Dance Theater. Fantastic show!

Summer was actually fairly uneventfull I think.

*side note...I just looked at my calendar and realized that August is actually the end of the summer, so alas, I'm an idiot and those of you who have read this (thank you, of course) already know about my fantastic show.

Okay, back to business. I went back to Shoreline, WA for a couple weeks to see the family and escape New York for a little bit. It was fantastic. There are pictures up on MySpace and Facebook for those of you who are cool enough to be able to see them. Otherwise you'll just have to inquire personally for a little private show-and-tell session. Much craziness went on, including golf, fishing, lots of waterskiing, and family insanity. Good times...good times.

The fall has mostly been auditioning and trying to get work. I'm signed theatrically with DDO Artist Agency, which is sweet, they rock. Just had a little cocktail party with the agents, staff, one of their Los Angeles agents who was visiting, and other dancers, actors, etc. who are with them. Very fun.

Latest news, booked an industrial for L'Oreal. Rehearsing for a few days (started today) and then performing on Sunday at the event. The choreography is sweet, and I believe my costume will be an old-school (like Restoration-period, but don't technically quote me on that...in fact, better to just not quote me at all on anything...) tux and white wig. Should be a trip. I'll be like a crazy dancing old dude. Let me rephrase. By "old dude" I don't mean age-wise, but like period, since it'll be a contemporary choreography mix. Totally confusing I know...I'm now equally confused. Let's just move on. Ooh, before we move on, I'm still secretely hoping that somehow I can be in slot motion waving my hair (and yes, I realize that since it's short it sort-of defeats the purpose, but still...) like in every single hair commercial! Okay, now we seriously can move on...

I guess that's it, so we have successfully moved on from the last point to the ending of my thoughts for the day. Until next time...keep it real!
