I feel that every time I write a new blog, I'm appologizing for taking so long between entries. Well, that's mostly because things are bit slow right now, and I'm also for myself figuring out how personal this blog should be. I've had a number of discussions with lots of my friends about MySpace, Facebook, blogs, etc. I love putting my humor and writing out to the world, but I am not sure how personal I want things to be. Sometimes it just feels too invasive. Plus, I know that industry people (agents, casting directors, etc) will inevitably check up on people, and if they don't get right away some of the jokes, or my sarcasm, or incidentally something was mentioned about someone the knew, etc., that wouldn't be too good.
On a different note, I'm sure I mentioned I danced for L'Oreal, and it was great. Other than that I've been auditioning for everything I can, classes, gym...
Side not on the gym thing...I have a new workout philosophy. Yeah, I said philosophy...I have some book smarts...I went to college...I took two philosophy classes...although, and you would be right to mention this, a philosophy class has nothing to do with the meaning of the word with how I'm using it. Did I lose you? Alright, so I clearly am working on getting my six-pack of abs. I mean, so defined that girls could wash their clothes on my stomach. I mean, I probably would be weirded out if a girl wanted to actually wash her clothes on my stomach, but depending on her hotness, I'd probably let her... I digress. However, I am not going to be completely happy with just the six-pack when I knew there is the possibility of an eight-pack. So, if I don't actually get the eight-pack that I strive for, then I'll be left with a six-pack. See, here is the philosophy part. Now, I do really want the eight-pack, so now I'm planning on working towards a ten-pack (which I know may not actually be physically possible, since we only have so many abs), and settle for the eight-pack.
Whew, that went on longer than I thought. Okay, other highlights of life in general. Went ice skating a few weeks back in Central Park. Haven't ice skated since maybe high school? Took a bit of feeling spastic, but got the hang of it. Whether or not my date and I had any actual skill skating (we did attempt to skate backwards...not so much)...we looked damn good doing it!
Also, finally had the chance to see the Radio City Christmas Spectacular! The Rockettes are so good (although one of the girls fell in the kick-line...felt bad for her). They really are, completely together. The "Toy Soldier" part was awesome, and the "Nativity Scene" (with real camals, donkeys (or asses, if you will), monkeys, and an elephant (okay, not the last two)) was so unbelievably beautiful. That made me so happy.
There you go for now. Until next time, this is Gossip Gir....uh, Andrew...signing off.
xoxo (this joke has had it's run...later)

L'Oreal Industrial
Well, the dance industrial for L'Oreal was great! Totally fun, great dancing, great people to work with, and a wild costumes. Obviously, the focus was on the girl's hair, which went through some crazy transformations onstage, but three of us men had Victorian-style white wigs (see picture below) and costumes. I love performing more than anything, so it was great to just be onstage killing it!
Now back to my real job of auditioning and finding my next job/project to work on. Fingers crossed...

*Shawna Hughes and I in costume.

Fall/Summer (but really on the fall) Update
Wow, bunches of stuff to talk about since I see that my last posting was in August or something. Almost too much to actually coherently get through...I think I mean concisely, but we'll just let that slide.
Starting of the summer (spring, really) I was dancing in a concert for Labyrinth Dance Theater. Fantastic show!
Summer was actually fairly uneventfull I think.
*side note...I just looked at my calendar and realized that August is actually the end of the summer, so alas, I'm an idiot and those of you who have read this (thank you, of course) already know about my fantastic show.
Okay, back to business. I went back to Shoreline, WA for a couple weeks to see the family and escape New York for a little bit. It was fantastic. There are pictures up on MySpace and Facebook for those of you who are cool enough to be able to see them. Otherwise you'll just have to inquire personally for a little private show-and-tell session. Much craziness went on, including golf, fishing, lots of waterskiing, and family insanity. Good times...good times.
The fall has mostly been auditioning and trying to get work. I'm signed theatrically with DDO Artist Agency, which is sweet, they rock. Just had a little cocktail party with the agents, staff, one of their Los Angeles agents who was visiting, and other dancers, actors, etc. who are with them. Very fun.
Latest news, booked an industrial for L'Oreal. Rehearsing for a few days (started today) and then performing on Sunday at the event. The choreography is sweet, and I believe my costume will be an old-school (like Restoration-period, but don't technically quote me on that...in fact, better to just not quote me at all on anything...) tux and white wig. Should be a trip. I'll be like a crazy dancing old dude. Let me rephrase. By "old dude" I don't mean age-wise, but like period, since it'll be a contemporary choreography mix. Totally confusing I know...I'm now equally confused. Let's just move on. Ooh, before we move on, I'm still secretely hoping that somehow I can be in slot motion waving my hair (and yes, I realize that since it's short it sort-of defeats the purpose, but still...) like in every single hair commercial! Okay, now we seriously can move on...
I guess that's it, so we have successfully moved on from the last point to the ending of my thoughts for the day. Until next time...keep it real!

The time is now..
I know, each and every none of you have been waiting anxiously for my return to Seattle. August 21st through September 4th I will be in and/or near the Seattle area. Please, don't thank me yet. Requests for public or private appearances, autographs, photo-ops, etc. are welcome. As are invites to sexy parties, for example, an all girls and Andrew hot tub party. That's just one example. Lingerie parties, Swimsuit parties, underwear parties...I could go on and on. Let your mind go wild. Oh, and this should not need to be mentioned, but I will anyways, the ratio of superhot to pretty, should be somewhere in the range of 90-10, with ugly or okay being kindly and apologetically excluded.
I joke. But I am expecting some quality northwest fun, and some definate waterskiing and boating action. That you can count on.

Long Time I know...
There's no reason to get upset with me just because I haven't updated my blog in a while. And I'm certainly not going to make promises of writing more often or like everyday or anything, because that would be a blatant lie.
Just auditioning and classes and stuff for the most part. That's how extremely exciting I am. A number of trips to Central Park to throw around a frisbee or lay out in the sun, movie nights on our roof, a new sexy phone, cute shoes...that about sums up my life right at the moment.
Oh, "Top Gun" was the movie for last night. It was a drink whenever something seems gay theme. Let us just say, that I didn't realize how much drinking would go on, if you catch my drift. Still, it's a fantastic movie, even including the shirtless, sweaty, volleyball scene. It totally pushes the plot farther...obviously.

Nice Legs...
So, tonight I decided to make my weekend less boring. I went on a walk before the Tony Awards start. Before you say anything, walks are awesome. I love taking long summer walks when it's nice weather out. It's a great way to enjoy the city and have some time to clear the head. Either alone or with company (which I highly enjoy), walks in the summer are fantastic. Favorite neighborhoods are Tribeca, Battery Park City, Central Park, South Street Seaport, Meatpacking District, and Little Italy.
Okay, last night I walked down to Battery Park City, to the Esplanade. It was outstandingly lovely to be by the water. Anyone who knows me knows that I love being by or on a boat on the water. Growing up in Seattle with out ski boat was such a joy. I always feel so at home on a lake or ocean or river or kiddy pool.
Sitting last night on a bench out on the Esplanade watching the sunset was so nice. Yes, I know it sounds like a romantic thing to do with a girl, which would be correct, however it was less romantic and more just relaxing. A little time for my thoughts (yes plural...I do have multiple thoughts sometimes).
Okay, so the real point of the title of this entry. I took a brief moment upon entering Battery Park City by these lovely little grassy parks and fountains and things, and leaned on the railing looking out over the Hudson to watch the boats and just check things out. I should preface, that I was wearing some of my sexy hiking shorts (yes they were short, but that's just how I roll), flip flops, and a polo (I know...preppy...but trendy-sexy preppy...think Polo Rugby). So, a very nice gentleman passing by merely publically commented directly to my that I have very nice legs. I know what you are thinking...yeah, getting hit on. It was very harmless. He was merely a brief admirer of my nice legs. He made the commented and went on his way. No actual "hitting on" if you will.
So, there you have it. My legs are officially and publically considered "nice." Thank you very much, public and/or private viewings are available upon request. Requests will be screened based on hotness. That is all.

Dance Reel 2.0
Here is the newest version I've edited together of my dance reel. There are a few clips I need to get and add, and it's a little rough, but I think I've done pretty darn good, so here it is. Sorry it's a bit on the small side...

Dance Clips
I finally finished editing together some clips of my dancing into a dance reel. I'm putting it up here for now, but will get a higher quality version onto the "Video" section of my website soon. It's also on YouTube, Facebook, and MySpace. I hope you enjoy and now friends, casting directors, agents, and everyone else can finally see examples of my dancing. Enjoy!

News and my proud editing
So, my performances went outstandly great, but what else would you expect. Sorry most of you couldn't see them, and thank you to the few who were able to be awesome and support me. Hopefully there will be more in the near...very near...future.
Looks like I'll be hanging around NYC for the summer, so party on Manhattan!
Auditioning lots right now, hoping something sticks, and trying to get my life here reorganized (as always). I've been quite busy learning how to use film editing software. I'm quite proud that I just tonight finished putting together a bunch of dance clips into what I think is a pretty professional looking dance reel. Soon it will be up on my website and in the meantime I'm trying to get it loaded onto youtube. So the world will quickly be able to see some of my dancing! Very exciting!
That is really all for the moment, sadly I have nothing very deep and meaningful to leave you with, so just go out and enjoy yourselves.

Some beautiful music
I just had the unexpected opportunity to hear the Philadelphia Orchestra play Mahler's Symphony No. 8 at Carnegie Hall last night. Unbelievable! The music is so big and so powerful. It was an experience I can't really give justice too with words. Everybody who is into classical music even just a little bit should listen to this symphony.
Performing tonight! Yeah! I love performing so much, it's what I live for. Plus, it's nice weather outside so my mood is very good. It's almost time to bust out my bahama shorts...well, okay, I'll wait on that. Not sure NYC is ready for those suckers yet.

My Oh My...
Wow, has it really been this long since I've written...well, I guess blog time stamps do not lie...unless you change them...so I guess they can lie. Ah, a life lesson to keep in mind. I'm so deep, aren't I!
I've been lately working on a dance performance based on the Holocaust. I know, happy subject. It's a really beautiful piece that we performed last night, and one more show on Wednesday. I'll put the info below for the people who love and adore me to read. That's right...both of you...haha.
I know you probably expect more of me and my inane thoughts, but this will be it for the moment. Just not "feeling it" you know (metaphysically, get your mind out of there). So more to come. Wish me a rock'n show on Wednesday (y'all know I'll nail it), and on my auditions this week (I'll try and kick some auditioning ass), and be well.
Enjoy some cherry blossoms...I think they're in bloom, but as I'm not a licensed and botanically-schooled person, I could be wrong about the botanicallness of the cherry bloomage.

Welcome to April
A time of dreams...a time of hopes...a time of Aprilness...well, I guess. Sadly no April Fool's jokes played on or by me. I know, sad right?! First, down to business. I'm working on a dance piece for early May. I'll tell all about it as it gets closer. Needless to say I'm dancing in it and being my awesome self, so it will be amazing. Other than that, auditioning, working out, trying to be sexy...at least trying. Oh, and just worked on a photo shoot with about 8 different photographers being overseen by Lois Greenfield. Way cool pictures! And way beautiful dancers I was working with.
Now let me tell you a story about the mines. Okay, so only my family will get that reference. For those of you not in my family, let me just say this is not a story about the mines. Honestly, it's a story about forgetting the story I had in mind. How lame is that! Let's just say that my story is a brief one describing how unbelivably sore and destroyed I was after the photo shoot this last weekend. The End. Did you like it? Straight, simple, and to the point. It has a happy ending, because I'm not sore anymore!
Yeah for almost spring!!

Holiday Spirits
I said I'd say a few words about rodeos. First off, I went to one. The Fort Worth Rodeo at the Stockyards. Secondly, they are awesome. How could you not enjoy man vs. beast! I like horses, and seeing what those riders can do was pretty cool. Also worth mentioning, is that they started out with everyone standing for "Proud to be an American" blasting while a girl on a horse with an American flag rides around the stadium getting faster and faster as the music builds. Very funny (and oddly inspiring). Then bullriding, roping the calves, etc., etc. They even had all the young kids (like 10 and under) come out (this part is a little bizare) and try to chase down a calf and get a flag from it's tail. Dangerous?...I think so. My kid (ficticious of course) will probably not be doing that. I say that now, but when the time comes I'll probably say "go ahead" and my wife will then slap me across my face. This is coming from a guy who would like to try bullriding once. I think it's pretty badass, and although I know it would be a horrible idea, still sort-of want to try.
Happy belated St. Patrick's Day. Not a holiday I usually do much for. Actually, didn't realize it was coming until it was here. There is no Irish blood in me, so not such a big deal. I do enjoy a Guiness, however. It's just a night full of tons of out of control drunks. Not that there's really anything wrong with that if I'm in the mood to go out, but not so much this year. Next up...Easter. Fun fact about Easter this year. It's also my birthday. This will be the only time this happens in my lifetime (unless I live till the year 2160...not likely...but we shall see), so while you're at your Easter service, think of me and maybe even say a little prayer sending your good thoughts on this day. Or while hunting Easter eggs, maybe the Easter Bunny should hide an egg with a miniature chocolate statue of me in it, or maybe he should just put my phone number in a hidden egg for a few of you good looking single gals out there who still enjoy beeing goofy and hunting eggs.
...Thoughts for the Easter Bunny.

Back to the grind
Well, I've gotten back from Texas a week and a half ago. No more BBQ, no more hanging with my brother and mom, no more driving, no more Texas accent, no more laidbackness. Back to the gym, yoga, dance classes, and auditions. Oh, and trying to find work to support myself and career stuff. Sounds great doesn't it! Well, once you get into the swing of things, it's fine. Although, getting back into the gym and dance classes hurts quite a lot since I've been out for a few months. Oh, and what's new is I'm getting back into tap classes. Oh my it's been some time. And I think I realized my tap shoes are a little small in the toe area, so I have some sore big toes...ouch. But, I'm not as bad as I thought I would be. That being said, each class is not only a physical challenge (trying to get my feet to tap fast enough), but it is a mental challenge. I'm spent mentally (one might argue I didn't have much to spare anyways) after each class just trying to follow. Grante, I'm also taking classes when I have the time, so they're not always the slowest classes. I say, bring on the challenge. It's the only way to get better (and sometimes feel like an idiot).
I promised some thoughts on Texas. I in fact enjoy Fort Worth very much. It's a cool place, and I"ve been there a bunch growing up, but not for a number of years. Fantastic BBQ. Risky's is just amazing. Oh, and the original Dr. Pepper. It is da bomb (I if may use an old school term). Dollar stores everywhere. Full of anything and everything you would want, most of it actually for a dollar. Okay...it may be crap, but some things are good. We bought my uncle some window shades. They work just fine. I also got 5 new towels. Wait...that wasn't at the dollar store, but there were still like $3 each. And they work fine and look better then the gym towels I may have inadvertantly borrowed for my personal showering at home use. For the record, I have not and do not steal towels or anything else for that matter. If you saw where I lived, you might forgive me on the whole towel situation.
Pretty sunsets, nice warm weather, cute southern girls, not so bad. On that last one, though, it took some time to find where these so called cute Texan girls were hiding (aparently not in the northside of Fort Worth, and for that matter, not really too many in Fort Worth at all during this time of year). Ahh, TCU was full of them, downtown had a couple, and the stockyards had like 2. It is what it is.
The stockyards deserve one quick mention. Texas Longhorns. Cattle Drive. Oddly dressed up costumed people on horses. Cowboy Shops. Rodeo. Rodeo will be mentioned in more detail tomorrow. Cowboy shop had some fantastic clothing. I love Cowboy wear. I own boots (could use a black pair) and a Kenny Chesney-esche cowboy hat (you know, the straw kind...for summer). No Stetson yet. Still wanting those chaps. I think they look bad-ass. Especially the ones the bullriders wear. Awesome. The Cowboy shop we went in down at the stockyards, also had a very cute worker there. My brother will say that her voice was a bit too high and whiny, but I am forgiving on that fact since all she said was "bye y'all" and in my opinion that's not enough to fairly judge on.
Off to more auditions. Enjoy life y'all.

Promises, Promises
I know, I promise to write more. It has been promised in the past and it will be promised here again. I do have things to discuss, most recently being a trip to Fort Worth, Texas to visit some family. Plus a reading of "DiMaggio," the musical I was in before Christmas. We did most of the first act, for a nice crowd. Went quite well. Hectic for us getting it back on it's feet in a limited time, but all and all went very well. Next stop...? Who knows. More on Texas to come. It was great to get some sun and warmth. Now back to New York weather, work, and a faster pace. I can keep up, and am ready to rock.

Wahoo!
Yeah, that's right...Wahoo! No real reason, but I felt li a "wahoo" was necessary. The show (DiMaggio) I was working on before Christmas was resurected for one more showing. That was this evening. We performed a reading of part of the first act. Nice to be back together again...we are a cool bunch of people.
Maybe that's where my energy is coming from. I'm also getting ready to head out to Fort Worth, Texas to meet up with my mom and brother to pay a visit to my grandma and uncle who live there. It's been quite some time since I've spent more than a day passing through, so this should be fun. Plus, I get to get out of the cold weather and get some warmth (even though it's still winter there...warmer than NYC).
Oh, and I'm all healed up from my little injury mishap before Christmas. Back in the gym and yoga, when I get back from Texas, lots of dance classes. I'm back baby...ready to rock and roll. Looking for my next project. So, what are you waiting for people...look at how cool I am and hire me...! I kid (although I'd like that...haha). I'm auditioning and working hard. Spring will be good man...spring will be good.

Strike's Over...yeah!
Well, a lot has gone on since last I posted. I worked on two of the soaps...background, but hey it's a start, and some much needed cash. Working again on them next week. Saw the Devil's (hockey, for those no in the know) destroy Carolina. Sweet victory, and a high scoring game, which is a bit unusual. Finally have pretty much healed my rib injury, and have got back in the gym for a couple days to start rocking and rolling. That was all good until these last few days I have been at home completely sick with a cold/flu-like thing. Knocked me out and still recovering. Can't seem to get a break. But, won't keep me down for long. I'll be back auditioning and kicking some butt very very soon. Oh, and yeah the writer's strike is over!

Back...sort-of
Wuzz'up my peeps! Yo homie-shizzle...yeah, I got noth'n . Figured I better do some damage control here on my blog. By damage control, I mean that since I haven't written in a while, better do a little to not dissapoint.
It is SuperBowl weekend. I personally don't care that much since my boys, the Seahawks are out. However, I do enjoy just watching football. I'm a little torn. I wouldn't mind New England winning since they've had a perfect season so far, and generally I like them. On the other hand, I do live in New York, and do support the Giants, and hope they do well also. So, I'm 50/50 on the game.
I realize that my blogs have been fairly trivial as well as sparse. That is due mainly to the fact that this has been a period of rebuilding, reworking, healing, and preparation on my part. So, with lots on my mind lately, I haven't really known what I'd like to say on my blog. Don't worry, I will write some more entertaining stuff soon. Peace!

Loud all around
Wow, you would think that since all this time has passed since last I wrote, I would have a lot to say. Well, yes and no. I have a lot I could say, but less that I will actually say.
So, who enjoys surprise telephone calls in the morning trying to collect money from someone who doesn't actually live in your apartment. Stupid bill collectors, get the right place and stop harrassing me!
Apparently, last night was a big night for one of the clubs on my street. Good grief there was a ton of noise. And, apparenly there is no rule by the city to stop work at a certain point of the night. There have been trucks and a generator and stuff on all night for the past 5 nights. I seriously have not get a solid nights sleep in a week. It's killing me... softly... okay, sorry, stupid 90's music reference.
The last thing I feel like mentioning here today, is that my return to the city after Christmas allowed me the opportunity to bring back a few items I still had at home (there still are a very large many items at home still, but that is aside from the point). One of which was my clogs, which I bought while in Amsterdam. Oh, they are authentic and wood (just the sole). They give me 2 extra inches, which is fun for me, and are very loud to walk in. Like women in heels basically, but much, much, more manly. Yeah, I'm a trendsetter.

A sad playoff weekend
So sad for my boys the Seahawks for the loss this past weekend. Boo! I guess I'm fairly happy that the Gaints won, although due to my Texas connection, I really wasn't rooting for a specific side. Now I'm officially not caring how the rest of the playoffs end up.

Dismemberment by Printer
On an unrelated note (by the way, it can't be related to anything since nothing else has been said), I almost threw my printer out of my window on to the street below where it would have killed or at least maimed someone with permanent disfigurement. I didn't, but the thought was there. You will be happy to know that I fixed the problem.
I know, I promised juicy details on my Christmas trip. Well, let me tell you...(by the way, there's nothing really to tell). I pretty much saw two old friends (yes, laugh it up that I don't have many friends in Seattle anymore, but I am way popular on MySpace (by the way, I'm not that popular on MySpace...of Facebook for that matter, so become my friend and make me popular...you know you want to)), hung with the family, and was sick for most of it with cold-like symptoms (by the way, I'm better know (by the way, the "by the way's" are getting a little rediculous so they will be stopped)).
That pretty much sums it all up. So, on to new business. I almost threw my printer out my window...oh, already covered that one. Getting back into a routine, so not much new business, although the Seahawks won the other day...GO SEAHAWKS! Yes, it's true, I'm an actor and dancer who likes (and is good at) sports. Right on. I also like a cold beer, hot chocolate by a fire, and showtunes, among other things. Not even sure why I put that in there, did I mention I almost killed someone tonight by way of falling printer? I did didn't I...?! I better just go tonight.

A little taste of what's to come...
So, I leave the East Coast for a week and all of a sudden it's the antartic here. What's the dilly, yo?! Although Seattle was cold, not quite like here. Oh well, I guess I'm ready for it. It's just that everyone is hiding behind layers (including yours truly) and it's not quite as hot (you know what I mean, not like temperature, but...) as I'd prefer.
Back into a routine, that's the name of the game. Break is nice. No worries about what you're eating (lots of sweets by the way) or going to the gym. Basically, have a beer whenever you want, eat good meals (which, due to a lack of kitchen I rarely get), and relax. Great! I love vacations, and rarely get them. I think the definition of "vacation" should be "to kick back (old school)". I like to add the term "old school" to things since I think it's hip. It may not be, but I'm going to assume it is and you should respect that.
I promised a little catch-up on the week I spent at home. I will in short bursts, as I like to add a little suspense to your reading. I returned home in time for my family's Christmas Eve party, and found 30 of my extended family (cousins, uncles, etc. at my home) ready to have some drinks, food, and participate in an odd gift exchange that we always do. I ended up better off than some, with a nice book to read. I think my mother ended up with an odd stuffed animal that highly resembles a goffer who sings and shakes his booty to some random rock song. Hmm...I may have won out on that one. The off to the Christmas Eve church service and off to bed.
There ya go, a little glimpse into my holiday. More to come...more to come. And for those of you following things, my side has mostly healed, although there still is a bit of bruising and a scar from my fall and it's still a bit tender, and my left rib area is still very much painful. Thanks for you thoughts and prayers...so far they seem to have not worked, and the lack of get well cards was a nice bonus. You have really shown your true colors world. Thanks.

Happy New Year!
Well, I know, I didn't really get to the whole updating of the blog this last week or so. There is much to tell. For now, it is sleepy-time for me, as I just arrived back home to New York City. Be warned, much inaneness is to come...
