Look'n good in uniform!

Working on a photo shoot for ESPN the other day, made me kind-of wish I had the chance to play lacrosse. Let me explain. The photo shoot was for a lacrosse ad of some sort, not really sure when it will come out, but I represented the Princeton team. They dressed us in full uniform, pads, helmet, and all. Pretty cool! Since I never really played football (except intermurals at college with my fraternity), I never really have been in full padding for any sports. The most contact I ever participated in was soccer, which can be pretty brutal, but is without pads (although I think that's even more badass). Putting on the shoulder pads, arm guards, gloves, and helmet just makes you feel awesome.

I think lacrosse is a great game, from what I've seen both at college and a few times on television. I would have enjoyed it. You can get pretty darn beat up, however. Since I was (and am, of course) a dancer and actor in college, there were certain sports I couldn't really justify doing. An injury and/or bruises, etc., would really be frowned upon and limit the opportunities in my field. Plus, I wasn't super physically developed (or at least worked on it in the gym and such) until after college really, when I started dancing professionally, and focus on strength and the look of my body became something I really had (and wanted) to do. Now, being stronger and more confident, I think I could really kick some ass. Probably a bit late to get involved with some things, such as lacrosse. And, it would be really irresponsible of me to put my career in jeapordy by doing such high impact sports.

So, what I took from this experience, and what you should take from this story is that I am a badass, and look frick'n sweet in lacrosse gear. Man I'm awesome!
