engh...back to reality

Is it really good to be back in New York City? Or does it just mean that I'm back to reality which currently consists of an uphill battle (yet quite exciting) to figure out and create my career path, bills, an unorganized apartment, and current unemployment. Ah yes, I'm living the dream.

I'd like to mention that whenever you book a red-eye flight, be prepared to be tired the next day. I realize this statement is not profound or anything, but for most of the afternoon and early evening I felt as if at any moment I could be asleep, in any position, anywhere. But it gave me a full day to spend showing my family some DVD's of my dancing, baking cupcakes and a peach pie, eating the cupcakes and peach pie with vanilla bean Dreyer's Ice Cream (my brother will argue it is the best), packing, having a nice dinner at Spiro's Pizza (a place you almost always see someone you know from high school at), and driving to the airport.

The weather the whole trip was just beautiful exept the last day which was a bit rainy and overcast. I guess it had to live up to the stereotype at least once during my stay. Pictures will be coming soon, so be prepared to be awstruck with how awesome I am pictorally.

I am sorting through my brain while I write this to figure out what stories and events I'll write about during the next week or so based mostly on what would be interesting or appropriate, so be prepared for unending entertainment (although the main entertainment reading my stories and thoughts does indeed end right after you read it, I say unending because I will infect your mind somehow and the tendency is to keep thinking about me when you least expect). Those who know me already know I'm an idiot yet awesome at the same time, but if you haven't met my family, just know that I had to get my personality somewhere. In my view and defense, we are all very level headed and "normal" in the sense that I know of many other individuals and families that are not nearly as "normal" as we are and do not get along as well as we do (exept in certain incidences).

So as I eat the yummy Emmi yogurt and listen to the soundtrack to the Disney film Mulan I leave you with this profoundly profound thought..."Tranguil as a forest, but a fire within, once you find your center, you are sure to win."

Be Prepared

No I'm not writing about the Boy Scout motto. Just a quick point of information that I'll be back in NYC Wednesday morning, which means that after I return many stories full of frivolity and intrigue will appear on my blog. I'll write about all my exploits here in Seattle (or Shoreline, to be absolutely correct) and Wyoming. So, be prepared to be entertained (hopefully).

Seattle Events Previewed

I have a lot to write about when I return from Seattle, but I'll give you a few news bits for the moment. I've definately been waterskiing on Lake Washington and it's been fantastic. I can still rock it on the water. Seen a few friends and played a couple rounds of golf with my dad and brother. Just actually played in the FOS-SEA golf tournament, my fourth year. I have to say publically for my brother's sake that he beat me fair and sqaure. I sucked very much yet still had a number of good shots and enjoyed myself throughout the day. I have lots of potential but not a huge amount of polished skills right now. It's off to Wyoming tomorrow to relax with the family. Knowing my family, I'm sure there will be lots of eventfull things hapening that will keep people entertained, so until I can write again maybe next week, peace out.

Ghettoer day than it should be

How awesome is it that in a small fit or rage this afternoon I broke another piece off of my bed. I say very. My room can only get ghettoer and ghettoer as the days go buy. Sweet! And in other news, my travels this weekend will be furthen enhanced by dumbass terrorists making our government add more and more travel regulations. Now don't get me wrong, I don't care that much since I'd rather be safe, but it is so much more of a hastle now since I like to carry on my luggage and no liquids at all is quite obnoxious. Mostly since, even if I check in a bag, in my carry-on I like to have some lotion, contact solution or eye drops, and toothpaste. Ah well, it's just the world we live in I guess. I'm really not that bitter and angry tonight, I just feel like writing what's on my mind. That's it I guess, unless you count how much fun it is to run down the street in the downpouring rain to your apartment. When it warm and raining you do kind-of feel like a little kid. A little kid who's a bit of an idiot for not checking the weather and bringin his umbrella with him when he went out. Well, Free Bird by Lynyrd Skynyrd is playing on iTunes and wish to listen to it without interruptions while I drink a Pomegranate-Blueberry drink to "quench" my thirst. We'll see if that music and drink combination do indeed relax me and prepare me for bed.

Are you F'n kidding me!

It is official. Bowser's baseball team is a "f**king cow's testicles' misshapen penis dipped in horse sh*t, monkey-ass mother's single-balled daughter of satin." That is a direct quote from my last game of losing to Bowser on the GameCube. He can burn in weird dinosaur hell for all I care. I lost 17-5 and 6-1, what kind of crap is that.

Okay, pull myself together man, it's just a game. Sorry for that, just had to get that out of my system. Video games bring out creative combinations of swear words when I'm losing, and clearly I was losing tonight. I'll get him yet, though, don't you worry.

What the hell is up with the Geico commercials with the celebrities talking jibberish and looking stupid "translating" for "real" costomers. I'm quite annoyed with them. That and there is nothing good on tonight. Maybe I"ll get a book and read...yeah...when monkeys fly out of...sorry again. Man am I in a bitter mood tonight. Maybe if I just...(slap)...just kidding, like I'd slap myself. Seriously though. I did go see Taladega Nights this afternoon. It should really be called Taladega Awesome! The movie rocks, I highly suggest it. Just plain retardedness you'd expect from Will Farrell. A post-movie burrito was not the best choice however for this evening.

I think I should just go to bed and forget about this entire night...what a waste. Can't even win a stupid video game...and I'm wearing bike gloves to help me play better...damnit, I'm over it...except for looking like a moron with bike gloves one...alright...whew...peace out, yo!

It's Number 100, Baby!

This is big moment in Lamboy.net history. This is entry 100! Oh yeah baby, I have been writing to my probably almost non-existant audience for enough time to reach 100 blogs. Man am I a bit of a dork, but that's what you get. I started out with my, to some people, famous emails and have transitioned into a full-on website. If you have followed my stupidity this far, congratulations, I am like a fine vintage wine...I get better with as time goes on. This is a journey not to be missed. My ultimate hope with this is that as my acting and dancing career progresses, so will my website. It will have my blogs of course, but also pictures and video clips from shows and projects I've done. That, and when fame comes knocking on my door, this website will explode with awesomeness.

I feel the need to write something of importance tonight, but nothing is really coming to mind . I understand I still need to write about the Touchet Baptists, but that will still have to wait as I cannot get my thoughts completely together on that subject. I did do some thinking about it today, and all that came to mind was dumb college stories, which I may write about another time, but they may seem more to be the funnier if you were there kind of stories.

Maybe I better stop this blathering on and just put this entry out of misery. I mean, it's seems almost pathetic that I just write about nothing, when we all know (or at least I want people to know) that my life rocks and I'm not boring. Oh, for lack of any other things, there is this homeless man that walks around 22nd street who is absolutely repulsive. You may ask me what makes him more repulsive than some of the other homeless guys? I will answer you and also add that I do not think any less of these people and do feel sorry for them, but also slightly feel they have chosen this path as they do seem to really try to get out of this situation. This is a touchy subject to some, and I do not want to get into it too deeply. Let me just say that this particular gentleman wears no shirt with a gigantic belly, ripped pants that are low enough where you almost see his junk (think abercrombie model of the homeless without the looks), dirt and black grime all over, and smells...well, if you've ever been with some of them on the subway you'd know. Pretty picture, right? He seems to be a relatively new transplant to the Chelsea homeless scene, and not too pretty.

Well, thus ends the 100th blogging birthday of Lampboy.net. I hope I provide some amusement to those who read, and to those who don't...well let's just say you won't know what you're missing because you haven't read what I just wrote, so go on living you life unfulfilled not having my thoughts to help you get through your mundane day.

Endings and Beginnings

Life is full of endings and beginnings, and much of the time they all overlap a bit. This past week was an ending of sorts and a new beginning for me. Personally, I hate to label things using such definite terms. I fully believe that nothing truly ends but rather opens up new doors as you move on from one thing to the next. Nobody really knows where the path leads, and often times the detour you take one day runs parallel to the path you were just on and rejoins it. I appologize for the vagueness of this opening, but I don't like to write too specifically on certain subjects.

This past week with Dodge Dance Company, we just finished our summer intensive. It went very well, and I have to say again how impressed I am with the students. We threw a huge amount of choreography at them and they soaked it up and performed it beautifully on Friday. Each of them improved so much throughout the week, it was such a joy. This last week really meant a lot to me in another way, as I was able to spend a a full week with the other DDC dancers. They are some of my best friends in the city, wonderful dancers of course, and I love them all very much. You guys rock and only good things lie ahead, but you all already know how I really feel.

I feel both excitement and nerviousness about the unknown this fall, but (for DDC's sake) let's just say I will nail it when it comes. Dig that y'all.

One last thing, for those of you back in Seattle (and Shoreline), I'll be back August 12th to the 29th, with the first week being the best to hang out, since we'll be in Wyoming at my cousin's ranch for much of the second week. It will be awesome to catch a small break from the city and I'm so excited to take my boat out and get some wicked waterskiing and wakeboarding in! Hope to see those of you who are in town.

Note to those of you in the NYC area, if anyone is up for the beach (or other things) this week or wants to hang when I get back for Labor Day, please drop me a line or shoot me an email.

Four Points of Business Tonight

First point of business tonight is telling you how much I rocked Guiding Light on Tuesday. Now I realize I did not say anything, but you could see me quite a bit in the background, and damn I look good. I totally believe I was talking on the cell phone and having deep and meaningful conversations with a girl during the debate. Awesome! For those of you who missed it, I have a little be of hatred for you, so you better watch the next thing that I'm in.

Second point of business is simply that I want to say that the guys and girls dancing at the Dodge Dance Company summer intensive are a blast. They all are improving so much and I can't wait to see the showing tomorrow afternoon. I'll write more on the intensive when it's over, but I really do enjoy teaching and spending this last week with my other DDC dancers and friends has meant a lot to me.

Third point of business needs a quick preface. I will write a full blog entry on it this weekend as I need to get my thoughts together so I'll leave a quick teaser. I went to college in the town of Walla Walla, Washington. I'll give you a quick moment here to make fun of the name...moments over. One of the nearby towns is Touchet, Washington with a Baptist Church who preached to the Whitman students we were going to hell. Told you it needed a bit more explanation coming this weekend.

Last point of business on this fine, yet still pretty damn hot, evening is simply to tell you all once again how awesome I am. Indeed I am one of the only straight male dancers who can live in the Chelsea area and pull of looking hot in short white bahama (or could be called rugby style) shorts, aviator sunglasses, a polo shirt, and flip flops. My legs simply look damn sexy. Go to bed with that picture in your mind, you'll be sure to have good dreams.
