Ah, finally a wonderful experience doing a little background acting. Oh yes, it isn't glamorous, and many times turns out to be a long and tiresome drag, but today was an exception. I worked on Law and Order, in the gallery during a couple court scenes. The title of the actualy episode is "Deadlock" I believe, and I don't know the air date. Be sure you are clear on this, though. You might see me sitting behind Sam Waterston in a court scene, but don't expect much. It will be a brief glimpse if anything. But for my true fans, feel free to check it out.
I have to say, almost everyone in the background holding room (meaning the actors I hung with) were pretty damn cool. That's saying a lot, since you so often are surrounded by strange characters. So many of us joked around the whole time, and lots of us had pretty similar sarcastic joking humor. Great fun was had by all! I hope to keep seeing many of these actors on other calls, and a quick shout out to two in particular, who were a blast. I hope to hear from one of you specifically real soon (not that anyone will be reading this, but whatever).
I learned so much on set today. It was great to watch some of the veteran actors do their thing. I could see their processes and how the production worked on a whole. And, the crew was laid back (to a point, of course) and had a great vibe going on. I love experiences like this.
Oh, I had a traumatic experience this morning at 6am. Yeah, so as I was climbing out of bed, what should happen, but I should fall off my ladder and bang my heel on a corner of a post-thing while slamming into my wardrobe. Outcome: a giant blood-blister on the back edge of my heel (yeah, the part that hurts everytime you step and with a shoe on). Oh so very painful and not fun. It had me limping a bit today. All I can ask is why? Why!? WHY?! I have no answer. Yeah for 6am (and all day) pain! Oh wait, not so much.
