After a semi-lazy day (I did get some headshots sent out, other than that...nothing of note) I went and saw Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift. Not that I thought it would be a great movie, but mainly because I love cars and wanted to see the action on a big screen.
Pretty funny moments (some probably unintentional, but funny none the less) and although there was a story line, clearly it centered on awesome car racing (or "drifting" as it were in this movie). I love a good chase scene, my favorite one being from the movie Bullet. The chase scenes in that were just mind-blowing! But, the ones in this movie through downtown Tokyo was pretty damn sweet! As was the last racing sequence as well.
You know how in movies (especially in the Vin Diesel ones) there are always the crew of guys who have the most amazing pads (properties). I mean, in this one, they live in Tokyo and have a huge garage full of hot cars, with lofted areas with couches and huge flat panel televisions, tons of rooms, roof top areas to lounge, etc. I know that it is the movies, but doesn't it seem like that would be a great way to live! Not only the sweet house or living area or whatever you'd call it, but having tons of friends (your crew/gang) hanging out with you all the time seems like it would be a great life. That, and all the hot girls that seem to be in this crowd. Man, I need to be a model with tons of model friends and model parties or something to get close to that lifestyle (or maybe be a celebrity). As depicted in movies, the "A" list seems to rock (or even the "bad boys" crews as well)!
Anyhow, it was a very guy movie and what I needed to escape from my apartment and everything else I'm trying to figure out.
Oh, and I should mention here that I will be on Guiding Light here pretty soon. Now, it's not much, it's background (or extra work if you're not sure what background means) work and may not be too much. I can't really say too much about it (that, and I don't know much about it as well), but I'll be there to shoot some stuff next Tuesday, and I'll of course let people know on my events page when it will show. Also, since it's background work, don't mistake that with having much screen time. I may or may not, but will help aid people in picking me out. At least on a soap opera, the set is much more intimate than some film background work, so we'll see. Should be fun anyways.
Peace out y'all.
