Good Fish Night
Went to Aquagrill down in SoHo this evening. Although the staff seemed a bit confused and unorganized, the food was good. And, for waiting they gave us a little salmon-dip thingy on a roasted chip-like thing and a sushi-ish piece to gnosh on compliments of the chef. The Oysters were outstanding! If you ever get a chance to try some from the Washington (state that is), do. I had the Dungeness Oysters, and the taste reminded me so much of home it was like I was there. Just like getting them fresh from Pike Place Market. Oh, and the salmon was pretty darn good as well. It was Alaskan Salmon grilled with a falafel crust. Different than I usually would have but quite tasty. I am a very picky seafood eater growing up in Seattle, but this was okay in my book. Especially for the oysters. Next time I might try the salmon again or some other fish but with a little less done to it (meanin the falafel crust, which was good, but I like to taste more of the fish and less of the other additions). It's funny what reminds you of a certain place like the taste of the oysters reminding me of the Seattle waterfront and ocean. Ah well.
