A Friendly Surprise

An unexpected surprise came upon me last night. What is it you might ask? Well, after rehearsal I got a call from my friend Pablo who was in the city without a place to stay. He and his two cousins, I might add. I also might add that the very same day they drove to Manhattan from Toronto. For clarification purposes, Toronto is in Canada. So let us summarize so far my surprise as of last evening. My Canadian friend and his two Canadian cousins asked me for a place to stay.

Well, being the nice guy I am, of course I offered them a place to crash. Now, four people staying in my humble apartment is so far the record (as I still am working on getting the entire Sports Illlustrated Swimsuit Models to stay and party at my place...unsuccessful as of yet). Anyways, the spur-of-the-moment trip by my friends was because of a 60-inch television they were purchasing in Coney Island, Brooklyn. Yes, it was cheaper to drive down and buy it here than in Canada. Weird, huh! Canadian's are just strange, although we love them, eh.

I wish them a safe trip home tonight, and until next time. Oh, and as you can see in the pictures, the company I keep are also fairly childish. We are who we are based on the company we keep (I think that's in the Bible or one of Buddah's books or something). Anyone who would share my desire to check out FAO Swartz and the Apple Store in the same trip is cool in my book. I'm a sucker for teddy bears and electronics (although I do favor slightly the teddy bears and stuffed animals...if you've ever seen my apartment you'd understand - link to a small portion of my animals). Oh, and I also suggest (although a bit expensive) the Mudslide drink at TGIFridays. Quite the tasty treat to cool you off in this humid weirdness of a city.
