They survived...just barely. They are not quite the same as they were. As you cans see by the picture, they lost a bunch of what makes them durable and much of the essence of the slipper is gone...but they are still here.
I tried my best to do the intricate cutting and fixing, although truth be told I am not a licensed slipper doctor. That being said, they are currently on my feet and in a recovery and therapy mode. They have to get used to being work without a sole and inner filling. Even so, some of my finer work I must say.
So, do not worry, my feet will still be slipped while I walk around my apartment and such. I say again, my feet will not be naked. The world can be at ease and go on with their life now.
